Dr. Rod Berger speaks with Dr. Rachel Lambert, assistant professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara, about Universal Design for Learning (UDL), math equality, and reshaping the math class for the next generation.

Dr. Lambert seeks to revolutionize math education and instill interest and enjoyment in a subject whose image has suffered. Conversation with students, empathy to their issues, and understanding of their emotions are where she sees opportunity.  

Dr. Lambert investigates the intersections between disability studies in education and mathematics education so brings a unique perspective to the discussion.
