LearnPlatform by Instructure, a third-party educational research company, worked with Magma Math to conduct a U.S. federal ESSA Level III study during the 2023-24 academic year.
After a systematic review, LearnPlatform concluded that the evidence surrounding Magma Math meets ESSA Level III “Promising Evidence.” Specifically, the study used correlative analyses with statistical controls for selection bias, with at least one statistically significant, positive effect of Magma Math on student math outcomes.
